EndSARS Protest: Nigerians Sign Petition, Ask ICC To Prosecute Police IG

 

Nigerians have taken to Change.org to demand that the international criminal court prosecute the country’s Police Inspector General, Mohammed Adamu.
The petition which has gotten over Ten Thousand(10, 000) signatures as at the time of this report is trending on Social media platform Twitter.

The irate Nigerians are alleging that the inspector General of Police should be charged for brutality and death of Nigerians who participated in the EndSARS protest.

The petition reads in part
“The Nigerian Police under the leadership of the IG of police , Mohammed Adamu, has unleashed war against defenseless and innocent Nigerian youths whose only crimes was demanding an end to extortions, harassments, illegal arrests, detentions and wanton killings by the rogue police unit SARS”.

The petition also alleged that no fewer than 10 peaceful protests have been reportedly shot dead, including Jimoh Isiaq and countless others arrested and detained by members of the criminal unit in police while extortions still unabated.
