The Speaker of Edo State Nigeria, House of Assembly, Hon. Francis Okiye has been impeached.
This impeachment was as a result of the motion by the Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Henry Okhurbo.
The letter of impeachment was signed by nine of the 10-members who attended the brief sitting on Monday Morning.
Hon. Ononhu who is representing Esan West Constituency has been elected as the New Speaker.
