Governor of Edo State Nigeria, Godwin Obaseki on Tuesday appreciated members of the opposing party, All Progressive Congress(APC) in the state.
The governor extends his hand of fellowship to members of APC while receiving his certificate of return at the INEC office in Benin City.
The governor maintained that the struggle between him and former APC Chairman, Adams Oshiomole is over. Obaseki enjoins Osagie Ize-iyamu, the governorship candidate of APC to help in the growth of the state and support the present administration.
“On a specific note, I want to use this opportunity to call on the former chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomole that the fight is over and he should come and join in building the house where he was part of laying the foundation”, the governor said.
Obaseki further stated that both members of Peoples’ Democratic Party(PDP) and All Progressive Congress(APC) should work together for the development of Edo State.
The presentation was made by the National Commissioner, INEC in charge of Edo State, Rivers State and Bayelsa State, Mrs. May Agbmuche-Mbu.
She used the opportunity to thank the security agencies and stakeholders for their efforts in the peaceful and smooth running of the election.
