Desmond Elliot, the member representing Surulere Constituency in the Lagos State Nigeria, House of Assembly says that harsh treatment by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad(SARS) has gone beyond reforms.
The Lawmaker expressed this on Friday, 9th October 2020 while briefing #EndSARS protesters at the Complex of Lagos State House of Assembly In Ikeja.
“ It has gone beyond having hotlines or doing reforms. As the Deputy Speaker rightly said, we need to look into it”, he pointed out.
He further explained that if SARS is working for the citizens and the citizens want it to be stopped, then we have to adhere to it.
The actor expressed his bitterness why people should be arrested because of their appearance. He reiterated that though we have evil ones in the society, there is a due process to everything.
It would be recalled that earlier today, a report came in on how protesters took to the streets in some parts of the country on Thursday, calling for an end to SARS.
