Cheers to 60 Years: A Celebration of Life for the Bazzie Couple

In a heartwarming celebration of six decades of life, love, and legacy, family and friends gathered at Hi-Qu Event Center on Saturday, August 5, 2023, to celebrate the 60th birthdays of Mr. Alexzader Bazzie and Mrs. Yata Bazzie. The event was covered by Excel Magazine International.


The jubilant occasion was punctuated with a joint congratulatory message from their daughter and family, Michael, Arkuetta, Syriah, Michaela, and Isaiah, who expressed gratitude for the unwavering love and sacrifices made by their parents throughout the years.


“To the greatest parents on earth, a big thank you for your endless love and sacrifices,” the message read. “May you both live long. Happy birthday, Daddy and Mommy!”


Their daughter, Weedor Bazzie, and her family also took the stage to share their appreciation. “Today, we celebrate the birthdays of the most beautiful, caring woman in my life, my mom, Yata H Bazzie, and the world’s greatest man, my dad, Alexzader Bazzie,” she exclaimed. “We wish you continued happiness, blessings of good health, and more years to celebrate. We love you!”


Arku, their son, added his sentiments, stating, “Through these years of life, the two of you have gracefully impacted plenty of our lives. Your desire to love, help, and provide will forever be unmatched.”


The event unfolded seamlessly with a carefully planned flow from arrival of guests, ushering of guests to their respective seats to grand entrance of the celebrants and family members and a resounding welcome remarks by Ms. Ilene Samah Bazzie, theor daughter.


The occasion was blessed by Mrs. Mary Kormassa Bazzie-Etheridge


The diverse gathering included representatives from various organizations and communities such as the Union of Liberian Association in the America (ULAA), Liberian Community Association Washington DC (LCA), University of Liberian Alumni Association (ULIBAAA-DMV Chapter), Church of Our Saviour Episcopal Church (COS Family), and more.


A grand march, led by Mr. Emmanuel Sundayboy Wettee, added to the festive atmosphere, symbolizing the unity and joy shared by all in honoring this remarkable couple.


As the night unfolded, laughter, music, and the warmth of shared memories filled the air, making Mr. Alexzader Bazzie and Mrs. Yata Bazzie’s 60th birthday celebration an unforgettable testament to a lifetime of love and community spirit.
