Grammy 2022: Cardi B Attacked by Fans

American rapper, Cardi B

American rapper Cardi B has deleted her Twitter and Instagram accounts shortly after she was bashed by irate fans for not attending the 2022 Grammy Awards. Before her tweet on Sunday, the 3rd of April, the rapper had been criticized by her fans who had different pieces of their minds thrown at her, some of which were targeted at her children.

What later ensued was what could be referred to as banter between the rapper and her fans. She has been accused of teasing her fans by not attending the Grammys and not releasing any new music lately. In response to the criticism and the comments passed on her kids, in which a tweep referred to her child as being autistic, she said “I hope your moms die” and to another, “Drink acid wit ur ugly ass.”

The rapper who was nominated for Best Rap Performance for ‘Up’, took to Instagram Live to address the bashing spree she had with her fans. According to her, “Do I have any new music? Why would I show up with one nomination? And I lost it anyways, so you wanted me to go to the Grammys, lose an award, and me just be there smiling like That’s great’. Come on now, I don’t like that shit”

While she was being criticized by her fans, others expressed their displeasure at the criticism. One tweep, @xylercomet tweeted “Cardi B deactivated her twitter, losing half her fans, and losing a Grammy all in one night, as I thought Grammy night couldn’t get better”.
