BREAKING: US Embassy Transitions to New Services Provider

The United States Embassy in Abuja and the US Consulate General in Lagos have announced a change in their visa services provider, effective immediately.

According to a statement seen by Excel Magazine International on the Embassy’s website, applicants with non-immigrant visa interviews scheduled on or before August 16, 2024, do not need to take any additional action.

However, those with interviews scheduled on or after August 26, 2024, are required to use the new visa services website.

The new website, www.usvisaappt.com, will handle fee payments, appointment scheduling, and customer services.

Applicants can create their accounts, pay visa application fees, and schedule US visa appointments online.

The US Embassy announced the change on its verified social media handle, @USinNigeria, saying: “Important Visa Services Update! We have moved to a new visa services provider! You can now schedule interview appointments on the new website.”

The Embassy’s website assured applicants that the new site is secure and offers enhanced services, including online chat support for quick responses to questions.

Applicants are advised to visit the US Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs website and Consular Post for official visa information.
