BREAKING: Russia Declares State of Emergency as Ukraine Incursion Enters Second Week
The governor of Russia’s Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, has declared a state of emergency due to daily Ukrainian shelling that is destroying homes and killing civilians, Excel Magazine International can report.
This comes as Ukraine’s incursion into the Kursk region enters its second week.
According to Ukrainian authorities, they now control 74 towns and villages in the Kursk region.
Meanwhile, Russia’s defense ministry claims to have shot down 117 Ukrainian drones over several regions overnight.
The surprise attack into Russian territory began on August 6 and marks Ukraine’s deepest and most significant incursion into the country since Moscow’s full-scale invasion started.
