BREAKING: Pope Benedict XVI is Dead

Former head of the Catholic Church, Pope Benedict XVI has died at the age of 95 years, Excel Breaking News can report.
The news of his demise was conveyed in a terse statement by the Vatican Spokesman, Matteo Bruni and seen by Excel Breaking News Saturday morning.
Bruni, while expressing grief over the death of Pope Benedict said, “With sorrow I inform you that the Pope Emeritus, Benedict XVI, passed away today at 9:34 in the Mater Ecclesiae Monastery in the Vatican.”
Pope Benedict XVI born Joseph Aloisius Ratzinger on the 16 April 1927.
He was the head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State from 19 April 2005 until his resignation on 28 February 2013.
Benedict’s election as pope occurred in the 2005 papal conclave that followed the death of Pope John Paul II. Benedict chose to be known by the title “pope emeritus” upon his resignation.
