BREAKING: Court Sends Bobrisky to 6-Month in Prison
Federal High Court Judge, Justice Abimbola Awogboro, has sentenced popular cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, to six months’ imprisonment without the option of a fine.
The judgement was delivered this morning, April 12.
Excel Magazine International recalls that on April 5th, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Bobrisky on a six-count charge, including Abuse of the Naira and Money laundering.
Although the money laundering charges were dismissed by the court, Bobrisky was convicted of Naira Abuse after confessing to the crime.
The court further directed that he be held in EFCC detention in Lagos.
Originally scheduled for April 9, the hearing for judgement was adjourned due to the Eid-Fitri public holiday from April 9 to April 11.
