Bode George, a former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has expressed his opinion on President Muhammadu Buhari’s eight-year tenure, describing it as a failure.
During a press conference in Lagos on Saturday, the PDP chieftain stated that Buhari did not meet the expectations of Nigerians over the past eight years.
George further emphasized that history will ultimately assess the performance of Buhari’s administration, which he believes fell short of making a positive impact on the lives of Nigerians.
George specifically criticized Buhari’s inability to ensure the security of Nigerians.
He also condemned the President for failing to fulfill his electoral promises, particularly regarding the fight against corruption.
In George’s assessment, he expressed his belief that Buhari’s administration failed to achieve a minimum satisfactory level of performance, likening it to scoring below 33% on an examination.
He even expressed doubt that the administration reached a mere 5% level of success, which necessitates deep reflection.
George concluded by expressing his disappointment and concern about Buhari’s failure in his primary responsibility, which is to safeguard the lives and properties of Nigerians.
He emphasized the significance of holding leaders accountable for their actions during their time in office, as these actions shape the pages of history.
