Biden Launches Reelection Bid, Setting Stage for Potential Rematch Against Trump

President Joe Biden announced his bid for reelection in 2024, positioning himself for a potential rematch against his predecessor, Donald Trump.
In a video released on Tuesday, Biden portrayed next year’s election as a battle against Republican extremism, arguing that he needed more time to fulfill his commitment to restoring the country’s character.
Biden enters a 2024 race that has thus far been dominated by Trump, who announced his third presidential bid in November.
While no significant Democratic challengers are expected to emerge against Biden, two candidates, self-help guru Marianne Williamson and anti-vaccine and environmental activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr., are currently running.
