A legal luminary from Umahii, Obi Mbieri, Mbaitoli Local government area of Imo state, Nigeria, Barrister Jephthan Chukwuyere Achuko has been laid to rest at a colorful burial ceremony.
The event has a ceremony and commendation service which held at Christ Anglican Church, Umuahii.
Late Jephtah was described as a man of great values and personality by different personalities from walks of life. He was eulogized for dedicating his life to the service of God and humanity.
According to close associates, while alive, he believed in equity and justice which made him endearing to many.
Some of those who attended the ceremony included;
Chief Barrister Humphrey Anumudu; Hon Uche Ongbuagu (Majority leader, Imo state House of Assembly); Barrister Kingsley Onunuju (Commissioner Special Projects, Imo state) different clergy men, Judges, Chief and Lady Nwafor among many other persons who travelled far, wide and near to celebrate Barrister Jephtah.
Different African dishes, culture, dances among others were also on display at the event.
Speaking about the late legal luminary, the Publisher of Excel Magazine International, Ihiasota Boniface noted that while alive Barrister Achuko ensured that be he left great legacies, he also noted that he and the Excel brand celebrates him.
“The well-wishes go a long way to show the kind of person he was” Ihiasota noted.
