Police in the Nigerian capital Abuja, have arrested thugs who penetrated the #Endsars campaign in the The Nigerian capital.
This was confirmed by the Minister for the FCT (Federal Capital Territory), Mohammed Bello during a visit to the Apo,Dutse areas of the territory.
The minister speaking to newsmen said, ” as I speak, arrests have been made. The FCT Commissioner for Police informed me. Those who participated and carried out these attacks will face the full wrath of The law. We will ensure that is done” .
The minister also added that compensations will be paid to The affected residents who had ‘genuine cases’.
The minister was on ground for an on-the-spot assessment of the Apo and Dutse Alhaji areas, to ascertain the level of damage and instability in these areas.
The minister who has also made similar visits to other affected areas in Abuja, reaffirmed that all hoodlums carrying out such nefarious activities will be brought to book. The minister stated that a commission will be setup to entertain complaints from the public.
The Apo and Dutse Alhaji areas have been one of the worst hit. A trail of bloodshed, destruction and other attacks have hit the area. It is reported that over six person have been killed, with houses burnt and cars razed.
