Anambra 2021: Senator Ifeanyi Ubah Takes Gubernatorial Campaign To US

The senator representing Anambra South senatorial district in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, businessman, and the gubernatorial candidate of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, Ifeanyi Ubah, has taken his campaign for the office of the governor of the state to the United States of America, where he has has planned series of town hall meeting with indigenes of the state in diaspora.

The town hall meetings which had begun since July 21, and continued till yesterday, was meant to present his manifesto, which is anchored on ‘Arise: A New Anambra is Possible’ to Anambra State indigenes in the us, has held in Texas, New York, New Jersey, and California.

Ubah told his listeners why he threw his hat into the gubernatorial ring, promising to set security communication gadgets in all communities in the state for effective security of lives and property.

At the California’s ‘Meet and Greet Interactive Session,’ Ubah expressed gratitude for the heavy endorsement he had received from Ndi Anambra in the diaspora.

Describing Los Angeles county in California as an industrial hub, Senator Ubah said that with the right moves, vision, contact, LA can establish sustainable sister-city relationship with Anambra for economic and cultural links.

He added that California, as the fifth largest economy in the world I one he intends to partner with for the rapid transformation of Anambra State, if given the opportunity to provide focused and experienced leadership for the state.

The senator, who was awarded a certificate of commendation by the Mayor and City Council of Carson, for his humanitarian, political and philanthropic service to humanity, was elated at the turn out at the robust interaction, just as he expressed profound gratitude to the organisers of the event, lev by the chairman of Anambra Progressives, Chief Barr Peter Nwosu.

An elated Senator Ubah said, “I what to specially thank Team California, led by Barr Nwosu for their efforts towards the realization of the new Anambra Project.

“May I also respectfully thank Barr Kingsley Uba, Ukpaka Nnewi; Prince Dr Chinedu Ikeanyi; Barr Sam Ogbogu; Chief Chike Nweke for their staunch support.

“My sincere gratitude also goes to many others too numerous to mention, who were part of the team that made this event a success.

“I am fully aware of the great deal of time, commitment and energy exerted in the preparation of the town hall meeting.

“My appreciation is but a simple drop in the ocean compared to what you have done and how special you have made me feel. May God reward you all immensely.”

In Maryland, where he took out time to grace the wedding of the daughter of Sir Patrick Bozac Chibueze, Jennifer Chidinma, on July 31.

He prayed God for divine protection and guidance for the new couple as they began their matrimonial journey.
