Adeboye settles N285,000 hospital bill of family’s first child
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, had caused rain of joy to flourish in the family of Mr Abidemi Smith and Mrs Abidemi Ayomide, as he paid the total sum of 285,000 bills, charged by the Redeemer Health center.
The N285,000 was the amount charged by the hospital for the Cesarean section, CS, conducted for the delivery of the family first child.
Excelbreakingnews gathered that Adeboye came to the hospital in the afternoon for a medical check on his mouth, when his driver was approached by this family concerning their debt in the hospital.
The family who lives Osogbo, told Excelbreakingnews reporter that they named their child at the hospital due to their inability to pay or settle their bill, that is, they spent more than 7 days in the hospital even after the child delivery which was through CS.
Fortunately, the GO sent his driver back to settle their bills along with a few others who had similar condition in the hospital.
“It is just like Jesus healing the leper, saying, stand up and go home, the same way I was told with my wife to prepare to go home” Mr Smith illustrated.
It was estimated that Pastor Adeboye paid N285,000 surgical expenses of the family along with another N300,000 for another patient.
Story
According to Mr Abiodun, the family arrived at The Redeemer Health Centre at redemption camp Ogun state, on March 27 for the delivery of their new born baby.
After some struggle at labor, they were advised to go for CS, which seems to be the only option at the time. They were told to deposit the sum of N20,000 before the commencement of the medical operation, which they did.
After a successful operation, the hospital management informed them of their bills, which was estimated to N285,000.
“They told us that the surgery is 250,000 and additional N35,000 for treatment” He explained.
They were unable to raise the amount which continued to accumulate as days went by. After seeking help from friends and families for days, they were able to gather the sum of N80,000 out of the 285,000 bill. Which wasn’t enough to cover their bills.
The hospital restrained them from going home, while they were told to stay till they would be able to pay.
Hopelessly, the family organized the naming ceremony of their first child, Testimony, in the hospital.
However, good fate procured luck for the family. On April 3rd, the family learnt that the GO of the RCCG was visiting the hospital to wash his mouth.
Mrs Ayomide summoned courage to tender their situation, but unfortunately for her, she could not see the Pastor.
She proceeded to meet the driver of the GO. The driver listened to her, snapped the bill and assured her that he would relay the message to Baba Adeboye (as popularly called).
Testimony’s Father said the driver came back into the hospital in the evening, called their name along with one other woman to the admins office where payments were made.
He added that even though the hospital management were not encouraging, he found favor from God through the General Overseer.
“The most discomforting thing was that the hospital management didn’t treat us well, but God used Baba to bring comfort to us” The husband added.
