60th Independence Anniversary: Nigeria Needs To Begin Process Of Sincere Healing- Buhari

The president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has called for a sincere process of National healing. The president said this while making the Independence anniversary speech on Thursday morning.

“We need to begin a sincere process of national healing and this anniversary presents a genuine opportunity to eliminate old and outworn perceptions”. The president said.

The Commander in Chief reiterated that the healing is very important as the nation has always focused on ‘contrived fault-lines’ that has been left untouched.
Buhari pleaded with Nigerians to show their commitment and do what is good at all time.

The nation he said is greater and stronger if we continue to display the spirit of oneness.
‘We are greater together than being in smaller units of nationalities, he said.
Nigeria’s 60th independence anniversary has been plagued by protests and threat of seccession.
