4th Wife Stabs Husband to Death Over Infidelity
In a tragic incident at an abattoir in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, a 47-year-old woman, Olanshile Nasirudeen, allegedly stabbed her 51-year-old husband to death after confronting him about his recent affair.
The incident, according to reports, unfolded of recent and has since resulted in the arrest of the suspect.
According to eyewitnesses, Mrs Nasirudeen spotted a pregnant woman at the abattoir, who she believed her husband, a butcher, had impregnated.
Fueled by anger and frustration, she confronted the woman, seeking answers regarding her husband’s infidelity.
Her husband, in an attempt to defuse the situation, intervened and urged her to stop harassing the pregnant woman. However, their exchange escalated into a heated argument.
Tragically, the confrontation took a violent turn when Mrs Nasirudeen resorted to using a knife.
She targeted her husband’s left leg, specifically the back joint, inadvertently severing one of his veins, causing him to bleed profusely.
Immediate medical attention was sought, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save his life, he succumbed to the excessive bleeding and passed away.
Following the stabbing, Mrs Nasirudeen fled the scene but was later apprehended by the authorities.
The police successfully arrested her, and she now faces charges of murder. It was revealed that she was the fourth wife of the deceased, adding a complex dimension to the tragic event.
During her appearance in court, the suspect alleged that her husband had initiated violence by slapping her first. She claimed that she had merely questioned the pregnant woman about her presence at their shared market stand when the altercation occurred.
