2023 Census: IPOB Urges Igbos Outside South-East to Return Home
By Boniface Ihiasota, USA
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has called on Igbos living outside the South-East region to return home and participate in the 2023 census.
According to Emma Powerful, IPOB’s Director of Media and Publicity, it is crucial for the Igbo population to be accurately counted in this year’s census to determine their actual population size.
The group believes that this would also serve as an opportunity to prove to the world that the Igbo population is not insignificant.
IPOB sees the census as an opportunity to ascertain the actual population of Biafrans in Nigeria and the size of amenities required in their territory.
Emma Powerful added that the census would provide an opportunity to collect more evidence in support of the Biafra agitation.
